Just taken my drums off to replace shoes and my friend touched the brake pedal after shoes were off I got a covering of brake fluid. Can anyone tell me how to replace the Wheel Cylinder. Never done one before but am quite competent .

just push it back in thats all, making shure that its nice and clean .but now you will have to bleed the brakes after you have replaced the shoes.

Ok I'll give it a try. The fluid came out between the cylinder and rubber. Have an eziibleed kit on its way too as did front brakes the other day. Although pedal was fine after a small trip.

its just the piston popped out one end or both, no damage caused, as said push back in, if it requires force it isnt straight
