Anybody know the cause? My orange glow-plug light is flashing at me all the time ('04 Fabia vRS).

Vag-Com shows one fault:

16955 Brake Switch (F): Implausible signal

P0571-35-00

Glow status is all off

Generator loading is about 45% (I've ben driving on headlights)

The brake light switch is fine, and was changed last week. Even VagCom indicates the brake light is OK.

I have a feeling it's nothing to do with the brakes although the ABS is known to have a fault on it (awaiting parts).

Any suggestions anybody?

Check you brake light bulbs, bet one is out. Failing that its the switch.

Make sure it was a purple switc fitted and it was fitted correctly (they are easy to break).

My light doesn't flash when a brake bulb goes. :( I had to be told by a mate tailing me. Wonder how long I'd been going with just one!?

Quite often both bulbs will blow, its been covered on here before.
