Confused - DSG VRS - Paddles/Multifunction wheel standard?

Featured Replies

OK - really confused by brochures, web sites - and info from Skoda UK.

If ordering a vanilla VRS Estate Diesel with DSG - are the MFSW and Paddles/Maxidot all standard or further extras? Skoda UK seem to think an extra. Car Configurator on site indicates they're standard....

Confused...!

They are standard and in fact you can only get a MFSW with DSG - barking mad!

Maxidot/paddles come standard if you spec DSG. How ever you have to pay extra for the MFSW and can only come with prep for audio/ phone control. For some reason the MFSW is only available on vrs models with DSG. As for the web site/ brochure they can be conflicting at times

OK - Thanks - so paddles/maxidot standard. But no MFSW unless specifically specified with the order and the extra cash paid!

I've got the MFSW with the telephone buttons but they don't work unless you have the Bluetooth unit fitted.

They operate Maxi Dot so no rocker switch on the end of the wiper stalk

More to the point what on earth is a 'vanilla' vRS!?

If that is a new colour then it sounds way too close to beige!

Get the MFSW, great bit of kit

The MFSW/paddles/maxidot combination 'IS' standard on a DSG VRS, the brochure and configurator dont make it clear, but the £300 odd option is for the handsfree bluetooth kit which can only be ordered in conjunction with DSG/MFSW/Paddle/Maxidot combination, hope that helps.

If you ordered a DSG VRS in either petrol or diesel without any extras you would receive a VRS with a MFSW/paddles and maxidot, with a telephone button on the steering wheel that presumably would just mute the stereo if pressed.

The Skoda site and brochures etc dont make it obvious but that is the case, the MFSW etc is not a cost option on the DSG.
