Potential new Citigo owner

Featured Replies

Hi all,

First post here, so be gentle!

Currently umming and aahing between the Up! and the Citigo.

Had a test drive in the Up! which was very good. Then went to look at the Citigo, the dealer handily being next door and part of the same group!

The dealer has an Elegance in the showroom, which I will look at on Friday and then finalise my decision.

I have to say the good reputation of Skoda dealers will probably sway me in the direction of the Citigo. The prices aren't too dissimilar and the Citigo seems to suit me better.

Anyway, enough rambling. Thanks for a very useful and informative forum.

regards

Adrian

You're welcome Adrian.

Hopefully you will get a test drive on Friday so you can compare the two.

I'm guessing they will drive about the same and it will come down to price for similar spec and the way the opposing dealers treat you?

Thanks CFB,

To be honest, the VW dealer was a bit offhand. Whereas Skoda were more friendly and accommodating.

Just a feeling I got, these things are very subjective.

The Skoda salesman was the first to phone me, but no contact from VW as yet.

Skoda also suggested the delivery date would be sooner than VW.

Small things maybe, but these things can sway the decision.

Thanks again.

The Up is selling very well, hence delivery times are currently quiet long. Prices are similar on some models, but to get an Up with the same spec as an Elegance will cost around £1000 more as youd need a Bluemotion.

Dont forget though, on that spec of Up youll get bigger alloys and the chance to personalise the interior more with a good range of seat covers and dash colours. Plus, come resale the Up willl hold onto that extra cash.

Essentially, over 3 years both cars will cost you the same... so its down to personal choice and your dealer.

Good luck, and have fun choosing.
