What was the oil level when you checked it now

It was at the bottom of the marked area which is the same point the yellow warning comes on...

did you check it hot after it came from them doing the oil change to know that it was correct?

Stupidly (on my part), no I didn't.. Although having check all work sheets it does state that the oil was changed and levels checked

Did you check the Oil at the last incident this week?

Again, maybe stupidly/naively, I didn't but saying that neither did SA as it didn't give any indication that this could be the cause...

I'd be right on their case (always happens on a Friday??) - I expect to be doing nearly 1000 miles a week when mine arrives. Got me worried now..

Don't worry about it... Mine as always been a little heavy on oil use compared to the norm but this was redicuous and with the car only having covered a short distance (and spent a number of days in the garage) it was an alarming amount to use...

How many miles has your car done from new?

Sorry not trying to be smart, but you are not really helping yourself.

You just posted,

"Mine has always been a little heavy on oil compared to the norm....."

You had a car cut out on you and while you had the bonnet open you did not dip the oil!

& did not dip & check since,

you are asking for trouble and this might well be why your light came on today, infact it is almost certain.

It seems lots of the problems people are having with oil is at the Service & OIl Change the level of the oil may not be correct.

(My car left the workshop when i bought it with too much oil in it and the 'Fitter' was dismissed, it was not his first time of doing it.)

If 'Skoda Assist' came out to your vehicle this week and never checked the oil level, there is something far wrong with them.
