I have been searching for a bolero system for my 2011 Octavia FL since long as there are not many sellers who

are willing to ship it abroad to India

I have now managed to find a system, but seller is not sure about the manufacturing year

or if it would fit my Octavia as i believe superb bolero is of different shape

So i wanted to know if there is any way by which we can see if it would fit Octavia or not

I can't figure this out through pictures

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Bolero is fundamentally identical, whether is is fitted to an Octavia or a Superb. It should fit your Octavia.

Bolero is a direct fit to Swing. If you still want to be sure, ask for the dimensions of the Unit from the Seller and compare them with the ones of your Swing.

But not sure if it will require coding after replacement as there could be a difference in audio levels and other features like Parktronics, etc.

Nope, the one for the Octy IS a different shape to the Superb one!

Just got my hands on the one i'm gonna be installing and the frame looks quite different to this one, which as was stated is from a Superb: it's a lot more square shaped.

Don't know whether it'll fit, but at the very least it'd definitely need some sort of adoptive frame to change the screw positions amongst other things, but I doubt if such a thing is made cos the Octy one is available and this is what's supposed to be in there, so you'd probably have to manufacture one yourself if you desperately want this to fit an octy.

So it won't be a straight swap for my Octavia

It's a safe bet it's one from a Superb, but look around on here as to whether it'll fit an octy or not. It looks like you possibly CAN get a square fascia adaptor to fit (I think it might be the Columbus one), BUT whether the screws would match the screwholes or not is another bigger issue.

All I know is that doing it from an Octy TO a Superb doesn't work as physically it's obviously a lot wider, but it's the screwholes that you need to find out about to find out if it'll work the way you're doing it.
