vRS brakes - Seat Cordoba MK2

Featured Replies

Selling my brakes off the vRS and I have someone who is interested in them. The only problem is he wants them for a seat cordoba....

Will they fit?!

Thanks

If you mean the one below, then yes.

It's an Ibiza with a boot.

Should fit on the MK2 ok, its only a seat ibiza mk4 with a boot.

Blimey, that was a quick reply lol.

Thanks for that guys, it's a MK2 Cordoba so should go on no bother :)

Will they fit behind the wheels though? Depends which Cordoba he has. Mine has 15" wheels and don't think that vRS brakes would fit behind.

Stock 288`s fit behind 15`s on a vrs normally (steels/TD 1.2`s) so should do, but you never know with a iffy offset thrown in.

who cares? as long as he gives you cash it's his problem if they don't!! lol

He's a total fanny, he was literally taking measurements of everything lol.... Once he's 'measured up' tonight he's going to let me know tomorow.

Oh yeh. Thought they were bigger on the vRS for some reason but just checked mine and they're 288's.

They should bolt straight on then!

He'd possibly need vrs/fr hubs?

Doubt he'd need new hubs, philje123's cordoba has 288's Can't see them changing the hubs on the same model. Most vag cars use the exact same hubs anyway. All he would need was the larger carrier

Lesser ibizas than the fr and cupra run smaller front brakes and have different hubs so this could be the case with cordoba

Mine definitely has 288's on front and 233's on the rear.

It will depend which engine his has in. If it's a petrol or a PD100 it will have smaller brakes. If it's a PD130 then it should have the same size brakes as standard.
