Hw would you rate the TFSI K04 to the TSi K04 then? You must be the only person with both on your drive!!!

Yeah, I have been jumping from one car to the other this week. I am going to have to take you out in the TSI when we next meet to get the point across but the power delivery and the torque make for a great car on the road. I can't take anything away from the TFSI, I still love it but the TSI has a tad more power which, more importantly, it puts down on the road efficiently and with a little less 'drama' than the TFSI.

I will try and get more pictures up tonight ;)

And it may squeeze a bit more out as the turbo and engine loosen up.

Thoughts are with you and your family.

I have an only child ( son of 20 )

If anything happened to him it would be the end of me.

I have been a bit negligent updating this thread but apart from the rims, there is nothing much new to look at. Anyway, here are the Oz Alllegerita wheels with a nice new set of Goodyear Eagle Assymetric 2 tyres on. I am afraid that it is just a crappy phone pic of somewhat dusty wheels as I just nipped out to the car park at work to take the photo :giggle:

Assymetric 2's are a great tyre and much better than the crappy ContiSportContact2's that my new vRS came with.

Allegeritas are super-light.. 8kg each IIRC?

I am tempted to say something comedical about your arch gap, but i won't.. as I expect you'll have some snappy come-back about manly k04 vs. my baby k03 ;)

I reckon you could fit that LARGE porsche caliper in that arch gap with room to spare ;-)

Hi Sy, good to hear from you again, mate! I don't have any immediate plans for the moment - apart from wheels and some plastic headlamp eyebrows :giggle: the car has not changed from when it was first done per my sig. Still running great and getting in to the 350's in bhp. I have been getting a system rich at idle code (p0172) for a while which we think may be my ITG intake (like the VWR TSI intake) so I may have to try JIm@JKM's EVOMS to see if that cures it but the car still runs fine. These MAFs are quite sensitive to how the air flows over them - I took the canister off to make it an open cone intake for a RR day and lost 30 hp!

You're not wrong, Rob! I had the GY's on my previous car and could not wait to get rid of the stock Conti's. No snappy come back about K04 vs K03 from me this time as I do agree with what you are saying - the looks of the car would certainly benefit from a bit less arch showing but this car is still my daily commuter over some crappy semi-rural roads for 30 mils each way. I have to say that I am well impressed with the Bilstein B12s even if they are fixed ride height as a great compromise between comfort and handling.

Any plans to be up near oxford, andover or anywhere in between? I've just replace my bilstein b16s with H&R monotubes and the ride on those is great, much better than the bilsteins - would be interesting to compare them with your B12s.

I work in Basingstoke if that is any help  . What was wrong with the B16s ?
