Leaking Sunroof (surprise surprise)

Featured Replies

OK I've had a search and seen all the threads on leaking sunroof's but trying to locate my one I need a bit of extra help.

Ive tested the front two drain holes on the left and the right and they seem to be draining fine, However I shut the sunroof and poured water directly onto it and found the water is coming in from the back of the sunroof area. I wound the sunroof as far back as it goes but still cannot see drain holes or anything at the back which I need to be checking, Im just a bit clueless to be honest and would appreciate a hand.

Would anybody happen to have a labelled pic (of an actual car, not diagram) of where the rear drain holes are please?

Cheers for any help

The rear drainage holes should drain out behind the rear wheel arches. On my estate, I can see the blue pipes coming down behind near where to the CD changer lives.

I opened the sunroof on my mine, and used a jug of water to pour some water into the runner tracks and it magically dribbled out at the front/back as expected....

I always wondered where they came from :giggle:

The rear drain pipes must be buried deep under the headliner ...

Would it not be best to tackle the problem by replacing the rubbers on the sunroof and preventing water ingress in the 1st place ?

Well I was uncertain this would tackle the problem as so many seem to suffer with blocked drains it makes we wonder if its meant to this way, but it does seem incredibly stupid

Ive the same problem kind of, but if you look at the sunroof from the outside it doesnt quite fit flush and theres a gap at the rear of the sunroof. Is it the seal and what are they like to change?

I have no idea, you got any pics showing where it doesn't fit flush?

If you take one, Ill take one of mine from same angle and we can compare?
