Hi all,

Having placed my order for my white VRS hatch, I have been in two minds about silver or black alloys from the factory. I haven't seen any blacks but I think they will 'probably' look good on the car and contrast nicely with the white. Plus I won't have to clean them so much ;-)

I have now changed my order to black wheels but I am still unsure. Also to make matters worse I have seen a white Renault with black alloys, really don't want to be mistaken for driving a megane :-(

Has anyone got factory wheels in black on a white Octavia?

I open the floor for discussion, what do you guys and gals think?

PS. I won't be changing the wheels for 3rd party ones for a while so this isn't an option for the time being (saving the money for a Shark S1).

I will have a white VRS with black wheels on Friday when I collect mine, I was in the same decision process as you, couldnt make my mind up etc, then I thought sod it, just do it, I am having them with the black alcantara and red stitching interior etc, so I am hoping it will have a 'black/white' theme with a touch of red i.e. stitching and calipers.

I am also going to go for the black grill and window tints over the next few months, should look good!

I am also going for the Black interior (even more so now I've finally seen it ) and painting the chrome grill surround but I'm going for White to match the rest of the car.

Will also be going for window tints. I am also looking at the Milotec eyelids but I will wait till I've had the car a while I think.

Forgot to say

If you want the black grill, you might be insterested in using plasti-dip. Spray on matt acrilic paint that sets like vinyl and is easily removed afterwards if you change your mind.

There is a white vRS taxi in Newcastle with black wheels and it looks awful! When I first seen it driving around I thought somebody had stolen his alloys and he had to make do with a set of steel wheels without the wheel trims. Of course its personal preferance but I dont think the stolen wheel trim look is very nice, I think standard silver and white or white and white would be the way to go.
