couple of little issues need help

Featured Replies

I have just picked up a 02 fabia sdi yesterday with only 57k miles on it a have couple of newby questions for you guys if you can help?

I noticed yesterday when I got the car home there was a lot of water coming out from under the car. On further investigation the water seems to be coming from two blue pipes they come out of the chassis through a rubber grommet and to the back of the car. Am i right on thinking they are for the rear washers? The water seems to be gushing out from where the pipes go into the chassis are these a push fit or is it because the rubber has split?

Also it has a small leak from what looks like the right hand side of the rad will this just be the bottom hose perished or do I need to look for something more sinister all help would be greatly appreciated

I thought the blue pipes were the fuel lines?????? I'm probably wrong though!

The best way to determine where your rad leak is coming from is a visual inspection, it may be either a perished hose, loose clip or something more.

If its the right hand side of the radiator when you face the car it could be the radiator fan switch.this is common and usually tightening it back up can cure the leak as for some reason they can become slightly loose
