Had my forge 007 delivered today big thanks to Bodge. Looks almost new and in very good condition.

Fitted it, which is stupidly easy and simple. Now I think I may be fooling myself but she seems to be pulling better and slightly smoother than before. Very happy with it all but keep thinking it may be better to change some pipes now lol.

Are there any pipes that are worth changing or is it all for show?

My m8 dv was fecked and had all sorts of surge problems fluttering etc so he had a forge fitted and his to felt like it was pulling better and smoother and that is down to the fact that the design is a lot better then the plastic dv and can hold boost better being piston type and also when I looked at his rubber pipes I thought hmm silicone piping wouldn't be a bad idea If there is a kit for that part area

sorry to sound dumb but our those pipes for the dv valve or do u mean the general area ??

Thanks for that info group1rs. Is there any gains or point in replacing any pipe work at all on the car if no splits can be found?

Vrs180t, I didn't really have any problems before it just feels smother now :-), sounds the same as the oe one aswell (basically silent) which I like but the kids hate lol.

yea as said how my m8's passat was feeling im pretty convinced my dv might be on its way out as i knew it was going to be smooth the forge dv but i was not expecting it to feel as smooth as my m8's did. if u did want more noise if u didnt allready know an induction kit with a heat shield or a better panel filter will make it louder but not like stupid loud like these jap cars with dump valves but its not to everyones taste.

there is no gains so to speak from replacing the pipes. Maybe a teeeni bit better flowing as its silicone but hardly noticable.

As Pete said Creations motorsport are good. i have just done a good 90% of my pipes in my bay with ere stuff. IMO its not better or worse than samco or forge and is half the price. The company was formed from Dubbers that had the skills to create and supply to the rest of us! I cannot praise them enough!

The forge DVs hold boost longer than a standard DV.. my Forge 008 made the car boost a whole lot better especially after getting it mapped!
