Its a Good car & I would buy another....................but?

Featured Replies

Less than 2 year old less than 30,000 miles, fabric near cut through on the side of the seat next the door pillar, above the adjustment gubbins/thinngy.

I cannot fathom what particular peculiar behaviour I exhibit that should cause such premature wear?

Any thoughts?

Heavy driver?

The sports seats on the vRS are known to suffer from the foam coming apart. Just a thought. Obviously if the underlying structure of the seat breaks then the fabric covering will wear very quickly.

My 59 plate MY10 with 60k has absolutely zero sign of any wear what so ever (I'm 6ft & 15 stone). That's with just over half of it's life ferrying me and 3 heavy workers back and for from Bristol every day.

Trouser belt rubbing on it?

Less than 2 years old......warranty job.

Common on 90% of VRS's

Take it back to where you purchased it, it should be more durable than that. Claim under SOGA not the warranty.

Sniff,

13.5 stone (or the kg equivalent)

Not wearing studded belt, anyway it is round the side of the seat.

Cheers for all suggestions regardless, esp the SOGA tip.

Will mention it when she is in for her free 36,000 mile service

Ps

Not a VrS

Cheers
