Hope to have my first Skoda by December

Featured Replies

Just joined the forum as I am trying to decide what model Skoda I will get in December - current view is the diesel Superb probably about 3 yrs old and with as many whistles and bells as I can afford.

Current car is a Saab 9-5 Aero so I know I will lose out on performance but i am fed up feeding it (29 mpg!)

Looking to pick up some tips prior to a purchase

Cheers

Martin

you can get the Superb re-mapped, increase in power and MPG, win-win :)

I think my 'boy racer' days are behind me, I would only end up with points again. I have only just got it clear so I think I will stay away from that carrot

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome along, good luck with hunting

You made it, Martin, by December!!!!!

Trust you will be as happy with your Superb as I am with mine (have owned it for a month now)

You will notice a difference in fuel consumption, but let's not dis' the 9-5 Aero - Can't think of any other petrol engine developing 260bhp in that weight of body which could turn in the economy figures a 2.3HOT can.

You are right - the look you got from drivers when their hot hatch or sportscar was left in the dust was always fun. I had 10 years with only minor problems but had a lot brewing so knew it was time to go and being that bit older now decided to slow things down a bit (9-5 Aero is a points magnet!), having said that I have been impressed with the turn of speed I got from the limited driving I have done today. Still was sad to see the Aero go.

Hello Martin and welcome along
