Cruise Control on the pre face lift MK2 Octy

Featured Replies

Guys,

I've now had my Octy a week and trying to get used to the bits and bobs that I have, One of the things like every Octy is that it has Cruise Control, I have used it today its spot on.

I just have one question, Is the dash suposed to light up to indicte that the cruise is on?

The reason why I ask is that my Leon Cupra also has the cruise control, when I put it on the dash has a light that comes on indicating that cruise has been selected. Where as on the Octy it doesn't.

I know that these are different cars but obviously they still come under the VAG group and would of thought that it would.

Cheers Guys

Mine has a yellow light with an image like a speedo. Have a look in your handbook, it'll be in there.

Mines Green

Perhaps i'm wrong then, but i'm sure mine is yellow. Might have possibly changed in the facelift. Either way, there's definitely one there on the cluster. :)

I have a FL Octavia Vrs, loverly shade of Green, the symbol, the cars yellow

she's called ambrosia

I had a 56 plate vrs until last month and there wasn't a light on the dash when the cruise was on.

My 56 plate does not have one either, I know someone who retro fitted with some maxidot clocks, and when he put his cruise on he thought oh no a warning light!. So it tells the car to put the light on , but if you have older clocks without the warning light it will not come on

My 57 has a yellow symbol

58 plate pre FL - yellow light on dash when cruise is on.
