Decided to clay the vrs for the first time & i must say im well chuffed with the finish.

Looks great, is there anything else on the car or is that just clayed ?

Its clayed followed by meguairs ultimate liquid wax & then meguairs ultimate paste wax

then rainx, then wind, then fall over etc etc

Looking fantastic a good bit of work sir! How long did it take you to clay the entire thing? I have a clay bar sat in work but never used one before.

try dodo juice,il never buy another brand of wax again

Took around 5 hours in total, washing, drying, claying, polish & then wax.

Well worth the time spent though, im really happy with it.

Iv seen that dodo juice on ebay, will give it a blast next time.

You get one from Bilt hamber and use water as the lubricant

I still haven't tried the bilt hamber. I found I got marring which really wanted a machining afterwards with sonus / generic green clay, but with the meguiars clay lubed with 50% last touch I got no visible marring.

Use some car shampoo or Fairy liquid Nick in the water and its much slippier and it doesnt marr.

Then wash down with APC and you have clean smooth paint

I used the detailing spray that was in the meguairs clay bar kit to keep the panels & clay lubed.

You will know if its being done properly, the clay should glide back & forth with no dragging.

This was my 1st time using a clay kit & i was abit reluctant to use it after reading some horror stories on the net.

But after watching some short vids on youtube, i gave it a go & must say its pretty simple.

Just keep the panel your claying very wet & you will be fine.
