Went For It ! They Come Tomorrow

Featured Replies

Just ordered my 35mm drop springs, from performance 3000.

£65 the set, last night i got a broken spring, and couldnt help myself. Got new S T mounts in case and hopefully the drop that evryone recommended will be happening wednesday.

Hi, I will be very interested to hear what you think of the performance springs as I have some and have been putting off fitting them

Best wishes

Dont put it off, the back ones will be really easy, and you will be able to see the height difference from that, dont like it 20 mins later standards are back on again

Unfortunately, I cant fit them myself and I guess I will have to have the wheel alignment adjusted

I had 32mm Eibach springs fitted to my (non Vrs) estate and the guy said that if the wheels were set up correctly before lowering, they probably wouldn't need adjusting.

Unfortunately, mine were 'off the scale' before lowering...

I would recommend a full geometry alignment though as mine felt much smoother afterwards: like there was nothing holding it back anymore.

Well they are on and im really pleased heres a few photos i took immediately after the drop, i have to say the front has dropped quite a bit more now they have been on a day or 2 since these pics were taken.

Ride is firm but livable, not too bouncy but stiff enough to keep body roll right down. Overall a great improvement for the money.

One thing to note, once the strut is removed even with old spring compressed it was near impossible to undo the nut for the strut top mount, took to a mate who had an impact tool and compressor even that struggled but we got there

Looks great.

I was thinking about getting some used uprated shocks and wondered what would fit my octy 1.8t 4x4?
