Octavia vrs MK1 Condenser replacement

Featured Replies

Hi anyone know what sort of job these are to do?, looks like it might be a bumper off job got a huge hole in it .(all the gas has been recovered -what was left)

Thanks

It's not a really bad job. You do have to take the bumper and crash bar off. You also need to remove the headlights in order to remove the lock carrier.

If you have some long M8 bolts, when you remove the crash bar, you can screw these in place of the crash bar bolts. Then you can slide the lock carrier forward on the bolts, whilst supporting it from underneath.

You need to remove the radiator from the lock carrier before you can remove the condenser.

You need to replace the drier and will need o-rings for the condenser/drier.
