Power Figures on Octy vRS

Featured Replies

Read the link I posted above for the advantages and disadvantages of the 2 principal types of RR. Both have significant disadvantages and neither is ideal. I believe that VAG quote Deutsche Industrie Norm (DIN) 70020 power figures for their engines. This is measured at the flywheel with the engine on a dyno, with all accessories installed including full exhaust system, all pumps, alternator, starter and emission controls. Standard temperature, pressure and humidity readings are specified for the test.

I know each has advantages and disadvantages for general use but for cars with load based ECU's you really need a load based dyno.

Hi Eddy,

apparently the new rollers can have the load set on them.

I thought that would be the case. Should help cut down on the number of people returning with limp mode problems. Not having a dig it's just a side effect of mapping on an inertia dyno.

< lots moving up and on...

it's exciting times tuner wise all hail

any info you can share :D
