Morning everyone, I need some advice regarding an issue on my Fabia 1.4 petrol AUB engine year 2000, every so often the engine seems to misfire, the oil engine light comes on and the rev counter stops working. Checked the oil level and is ok, I noticed that under the engine oil filling cap a yellow paste deposits forms, my mechanic suggests that the cause could be that the car is only used for short journeys not giving the engine to get rid of condensation created in the top part of the engine.

As I restart the engine everything goes back to normal????????????

Short runs and gunk under the oil filler normally go together so nothing to worry about on that front.
