ODBII protocol / Ultragauge

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I posted this question in the Octavia II section but have just realised this might have been the more sensible place to post. l'd be grateful if anyone was able to help...

I'm considering buying an Ultragauge but am having trouble confirming whether it will definitely be compatible with by 2005 Octavia 1.9 TDi. Does anyone know if it is, or if not what the ODBII protocol used by my Octavia is (so that I can check with the manufacturer)? Going by this link I think it may be ISO-14230-4 (KWP2000) but I'd like to be certain.

If the Ultragauge isn't suitable then I'll probably get a Scangauge E, which I think is compatible but if anyone happened to know for certain I'd love to have that confirmed.

For anyone curious, the feature I'm really after on either of these devices is the ability to display the percentage engine load.

Thanks for any help :hi: .
