Why Candy White may not have been the best colour choice...

Featured Replies

Maybe not the smartest choice of colour...but for me it's still the nicest colour :)

....now where's the hose?...

Bugs are ok, but for a couple of discerning eye, tar is more difficlut to handle. Anyway white shows Superb bigger than what it is already, and a properly glazed, waxed candy white shines esipecially in dark :)

you know it's right colour, Mike !!

It IS the right colour!!! Wooo!!! :)

A properly washed, waxed, polished white Superb does look fantastic indeed... just a shame it takes hours to get there and sod's law dictates that it WILL rain soon after you finish.

A dirty white car just looks a bit dull. Any other colour looks dirty.

Black is the way to go. Makes the car look a bit less bulbous and oddly-proportioned, plus you look like a member of the Serbian Mafia. Which is nice.

Black is horrible , shows the dirt more than white , worst colour by far , only an idiot would choose black;)

But does look lovely clean :)

Black can hide subtle lines of a car. When the car isn't subtle then it can look menacing or cool. In Australia a black car is the worst of all choices as it can get 20ºC hotter inside than a white car. I have one of each.

White cars retain up to 5% more value than lots of other colours as noted in this weeks Auto Express.

Still too much cleaning for me though.

Yellow, never looks dirty

My neighbour had a yellow Seat VRS Leon which looked very good but he cleaned it several times a week to look that nice.

Silver is the best colour for not showing the dirt but its gone out of fashion nowadays

I am old fashion  for the wife's car but had a change for my Superb.

Having had a dark blue (VW's graphite blue) my Superb will definitely be candy white. I'm fed up with wash, clay, wash, polish, wash, seal, wax, wax twice a year.

Any while I'm posting, I raise you: Locusts.
