Mercedes SLS AMG

Featured Replies

Posting this purely out of excitement...

Just had one of these 600bhp monsters give it the absolute beans past me, the sound nearly blew my head clean off.... Imagine an Audi RS4 X 100,000,000.

Have any of you guys been in/drove one? They seem to be incredible pieces of engineering!

Been in a SL65 AMG V12 Bi-Turbo 705 BHP IIRC

It did move ......

AMG sent me the brochure for SLS but I'm afraid it's worth more than I paid for my house, although my house is now worth more ....Win

I've considered selling the house and moving into the car but I can't fit my 40" tv in there.

Having recently heard an RS4 giving it the lead boot away from a junction the other day that AMG must be something else.

Louder than a Griffith 500? Last time I head one of them I was sure it had straight through shotgun pipes for an exhaust.

Sounded good at Goodwood but other stuff sounded a lot better. I really don't like Mercs regardless how much power they kick out.

James and I had a spin in a couple around the handling circuit at mercedes world, hate mercs, the badge and the ****s who drive them, would kill for an SLS though, totally mind blowing.

Lottery, 6 numbers, SLS, job done.

The kids can go swivel.

Make it a red one

Good choice, the lemans red, I'll hang on for the "black" version in yellow and to make it stand out a little, put yellow hat stickers all over it

I met a german plated SLS in the outskirts of Stockholm a few months back. It was actually quite anticlimactic. He put up a good fight, the poor bugger, but he had no idea what he was doing. I'd really like to see how my Merc stands up to an SLS if the driver is any good. I reckon he'd make short work of me, but it would be fun. You'd think someone who can afford a 120k car could figure out how a manumatic transmission works...

They're lovely cars though. But they should come in a package deal with driving skills. Or at least driving lessons.

The sound is a totally different note to an Audi. AMG division have their own unique sound which for me is the best off all cars. Makes my Audi which is throaty sound totally rubbish!

There's a red one locally so no doubt he'd be ****ed by a copycat which is always a bonus. Also a matt pearl white which is gorgeous but screams I'm trying too hard.

Sounds great and way ahead of the second best Gran Turisimo

The Zonda F which has an AMG engine sounds stunning. I had tingles as it blasted past and you could hear it coming from miles away

There's a nice one I keep seeing with the Reg WH05 SLS.

They are very low and wide.

The likes of the Zonda or Veyron may as well be a fighter jet. I can at least work out which arm and leg a SLS or Mazzer would cost me. Not enough arms and legs for a Zonda.

Found an image, this was James after a blat, you can just clock my silver ride behind it. Awesome in the truest sense.
