Just bought an Octavia vRS estate today, having viewed the buying guide. Thanks in particular to chicken_eyebrow.

Most helpful piece of information has been regarding the 'mooing' brakes, as I only found out they were doing this when we got the car home. Having read the forum, I am not concerned and will live with it until I need to replace the pads. I then have the option of trying the chamfered pads and/or the resonance cancelling kit. Thanks in particular to BigJakk.

If anyone has any advice on best value roof bars, I'd be pleased to hear from you.
