Is there anyone on here running the HG Motorsport intercooler for the mk2 Fabia vRS, or has anybody come across any other manufacturers that have produced one for the 1.4 tsi engine as I'm looking to purchase an intercooler for my vRS very soon.

I rang forge yesterday, they are currently still working on an intercooler. Pace have an intercooler & radiator package which is near 1k, I was budgeting around the £750 mark maximum where the HG intercooler just falls short of that price mark but I've heard the gains aren't as much as the one from pace. However forge have one on the way but aren't 100% sure on the release date also couldn't tell me what gains they have got from there's hmm, do I go with HG or hang around for month until the forge one is released..

I dont like the way they have done the HG intercooler tbh. its very high, which is normally great, but 3/4 of the intercooler is obscured from the airflow by the bumper. Plus because the IC is so thin, theres not much surface area in contact with the airflowe. It might well be good but from an engineer point of view i dont like its design.

I have the Pace IC/Rad which is great value IMO, albeit its still not cheap, but you are getting an extra radiator with it which has 75% extra volume!! so its not expensive in the sense that you are getting more value for money. That extra £250 over the HG gets you a bigger intercooler AND the radiator which normally retail over £500 alone.

Id wait out for the Forge or any other options appearing personally
