Water in passenger footwell

Featured Replies

Cut a long story short. Hammering it down with rain and I've got water in the fan and behind glove box. Never had this before and has anyone had this? Where is the air intake for the fan in the car? Just finished taking the glovebox out and laying towels everywhere. Any ideas?

Danny.

I had this but i had a pond in my footwell lol, it turned out to be the skittle drains.

Cheers guys. I'm going to have a proper look today now I have some day light instead of looking and stripping at midnight!

Danny.

I've had this twice recently, problem was the skuttle drain hole being blocked. You'll need a 13mm spanner to remove the wiper arms and then carefully lift the plastic cover, however, the wiper motor is in the way so you'll need something to poke around to find the hole (ooo err misses :p ) and clear the crud out. The drain hole is the side closest to the wing.

You'll need new clips to secure the scuttle cover. I couldn't find a way to remove without destroying them.

There are two drain holes, take the rubber surrounds out from the bulkhead and throw them away. No more bloked plenum chamber.

Scuttle panel drains!

Maybe I got lucky but I removed all mine without any problems or breakage. Just used the cover to gently prise them up then wiggled them out.
