Could it be a problem with the Window Switch?

Seems like it could be a problem with the central locking in the door.

It's the individual door lock/unlock switch on the right rear door panel.

Does the backlight for the switch work?

If it doesn't check the brown wire to the switch.

If it does check the brown/green wire to the switch.

To test the switch disconnect it and and measure the resistance between pins 1 and 4.

In the middle position it should be open circuit.

In one direction it is a short circuit.

In the other direction you should measure about 200ohms.

I checked the Switch, works perfectly well so I guess the fault is not in the Switch but elsewhere. Pointers please???

If you clear the fault again, does it come back?

That fault code it very specific. It can only be the switch, the wiring or VERY RARELY it can be the door control unit.

When you checked the wires, did you unplug the connector on the door control unit?

I cleared the code, but it came back again and again.

I checked it by disconnecting the Connector. So I guess it's a problem with the Door Controller then!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I have a question related to some of the codes in this thread to anyone who has VCDS and non-canbus LEDs fitted internally please.

 

I too get the errors 00120 and 00121 mentioned above which clear and come back after I open the door.  I too reckon they are to do with non CANBUS leds fitted to my car, especially as I have similar and symmetrical faults 00131 and 00132 for my puddle lamps and 00061 for my footwell lights which all also have non CANBUS leds fitted.

 

Do others get these faults too?
