vRS tyres - recommendations

i have pirelli p zero nero's all round on mine, they give great grip all round wet and dry. Have been told they will also wear quick.

Iv also got p zero neros. Done a few thousand miles on them and theyre great. Good in standing water which is good atm!

Another vote for Toyo T1R's. Running 205/40/17 Toyo 4's on the Roomster which I also rate highly.

TOYO's are good to. I've ran them on my last 3 Impreza's.

I also rate the t1-r's and been on my last 3 cars or so, but when I bought my spiders, they had just had 4 brand new Vredestein Sessanta's put on and I've gotta say overall I prefer them.

So far in the last few months I have found them louder than the t1-r's, but better grip in the dry, much better grip in the wet and seem to be better wearing... They now get my vote!

I have Kumho Ecsta Le sports on mine, I find them very quiet on the road. I also find they have good wet weather grip.

I would say the OEM Contis are great. Just they've now got a great price to go with them. Also, Pirelli Pzero and P zero nero are good, but again, the price has now risen (demand?).

At the moment I'm on Rainsports on the front. Sidewall is very soft for a modern tyre. Very comfy compared to the previous Pzero and Pzero nero though.

I'd like to try the Michellins but not at the prices usually charged.

I'm not getting P Zero Nero's again - they tramline and fidget to the point it feels like the steering is broken, also noisy and poor in the wet. They are a hard compound tyre with very stiff sidewalls, so handling on a smooth surface is pretty sharp. I'd imagine they're great on a dry track or on a mediterranean coast road.

I'm a fan of Rainsport 2's, and was genuinely very impressed with Barum Bravuris 2's. Also I'd consider Hankook's now, as I have winter tyres by them and they are really good.

So basically you choice is

or on Special offer at the moment from Camskill

If you press 'add to basket' you can see how much delivery will cost on them (about a fiver a pair). I normally add £10 or so for fitting/balancing.

I've had both tyres and like them both. At the moment I've got Rainsports on front and am a fan of them. They are down to about 3 mm, I'm not sure weather to try something else of stick with Rainsports.

I have also used both of the sites and can't really fault the service from both of them. The Tyres came within a day or two after ordering.

Rainsport 2's all day long
