Near side rear boot is very wet at CD player any idea where water is coming in 2001 octavia

The rear washer is run through the loom at that corner and is well known to come apart at the joiner and pump the boot full of washer fluid. If you do a search, there should be a thread on here from a couple of years ago that had good pictures in as well. It also does the world of good to the loom in that area, so the sooner you fix it the better it will be in the long run for you.

Oh, and welcome to Briskoda.

Just had a look and leak seems to be where boot floor meets the back panel were side bumper bolts on wonder if it is accendent damage

Lamp seal leaking?, can you see fresh water running if someone operates rear washer while you look?.

Hello mate I know its been like 3 years since you started this thread for having a boot leak but I was wondering where else you sealed before doing the hinges and hairlines cracks in paint? I have a serious leak on both sides and have sealed under the roof trim pointed out in your thread and I have siliconed the hell out of the hinges and waters still running in no problem at all. Any ideas? Thanks.

Mine has this. Check out my topic I think i've traced it back to the source of the potential leak. Do you get wet headling at all? http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/387743-leaking-sunroof-drains/
