I wonder if any of you might be able to help.

I would like to buy an Octy 4x4. However, I really would like leather seats - not an option it seems in the UK. Reading other threads, it appears that a L&K 4x4 with leather was available in other european territories in the past.

Any suggestions what I might do (would it be worth lobbying a dealer for a special order??).

That confirms what my local dealer said although I had never been able to find it in writing before.

That was on the old Octy, when 4x4 was an add-on to several Elegance and L&K types. On the new Octy it's not just technology but a separate trim level too. Hence the lack of a leather option, I guess.

I just specked a 4X4 with leather metalic paint maxi dot etc on the Skoda web site "Skoda Octavia 4x4 1.9 TDI PD 5dr estate '05

Is this comparator site for the old or new shape 4x4 estate? I have just called my local dealer (Sauders Abbott in Croydon) and they inist that leather simply isn't an option on the new model.

Has anyone taken delivery of a new 4x4 estate with leather or even been able to order one? I'd really appreciate the feedback.

Have you found it yet? when you open the link make sure you choose 4x4 05. Then you go to the options and they are the heading for seats.

yes I have - many thanks. How is it that the dealers (a) are insisting that leather isn't an option and ( have not seen this site? Is it an official skoda site?

It is the officiial site tell the dealer to log on to it ,when your in the showroom, then get them to contact skoda, If they want the sale, they should do it.

It's not the easiest to nav around. Mind you it, I tried it about 2 months ago and it wasn't working then. Yes it is official, it has the same set up as this site

The Crodon dealer got back this morning and said that having checked he can't order a 4x4 with leather.........what the **** is going on?????? I remain baffled and confused!

Has anyone else succeeded in placing this order ?
