Climatronic fan not blowing

Featured Replies

Hi, all... usually, if I get into the car when it's hot, the fan spools up and blows nice cold air at quite a blast, slowing down eventually to a gentle tick-over. For the last week or so, though, all I'm getting through the vents is a steady trickle of cold air, and manually adjusting the fan "rate" with the -+ rocker seems to have no effect. I've had a look at the fusebox, and the 40A fuse for the "Climatronic Fan Blower" is intact. Is there any more I can do to try and resolve this on my own, or is it back to DM Keith under warranty for my 18 month old Superb?

Any ideas, anyone?

bestest,

M.

Hi there, I have just purchased a second hand Superb II and am having the same issues. A garage I visited today in Perth reckons it could be either the heater blower motor and or the blower motor resistor. I have made an appointment at my local Skoda garage on Friday to get them to check it out. Will post back if I get it resolved.

If you have climatronic there is no resistor pack, the speed is controlled through pulse width modulation.

Getting the car scanned with VCDS or VAS tool is the first step.

No antimatter, but the motor will produce small amounts of ozone.

Yes, I have no sense of humor.
