Im a tad confuzzled. i have ordered some Depo projectors for my mk1 octy and will be running aftermarket hids. Im looking online and in seeing DS2 and D2S. Images look the same on google, but is there actually any difference? Also read i can use h7s.

I think they are "D2S" fitment, people maybe get the order muddled up. You could reuse your current ballets and just get new bulbs & adapters, or you can get a full new setup. But if the new lights are D2S then H7's won't fit.

DS2 and D2S, most likely a mistake and they are D2S. You need D2S bulbs, these are the only ones that will fit. There are also D2R bulbs, these are not the correct ones.
