Featured Replies

Hi

Not sure if anyone can help or not....but i`m trying to i.d. the rear lights on my Skoda?

The spare set are the usual ones with the small section sticking out.....but the ones fitted look different to any others I have seen, perhaps someone can help me out?

Cheers!post-87249-0-15831100-1342434481_thumb.jpg

 I think they are from a Lada Riva

Just a had a real quick look on google image search.....and I think you may be right!

Not sure if thats a good or a bad thing at the moment though!

Cheers buddy.....

Yes, i would agree...that car is quite well known I think. Lada lights should be easy to find....or you could convert back if they havent massacred the rear panel.

Its sat in my drive awaiting a bit of enthusiasm (and weather!) to tackle the rot......had too many other things on the go at the moment and year is rushing past too fast fot my liking..........

I think the originals will be going back on as these look a bit `bulbous`......hopefully it wont be an issue.

Not too sure on the plastic fantastic `body kit` either.....anyone reckon its `orginal` or a univeral kit?

Its probably a proper kit for the car (or bits of) - they were an aftermarket thing in the UK (Skoda didnt fit such things behind the iron curtain) but they were not a dealer fit for 120s - they only dealer fitted kits to 130s and Rapids as part of the Sport upgrade.

I should add the whole kit has front and rear aprons below the bumpers and a bootlid mounted spoiler. Not sure how much of that your car has.

I only have sideskirts and sections that go behind rear arches (maybe these are what you meant by below the bumper ones?)......defo no rear spoiler though....

Here's the real thing.....not sure how different the bits on yours are..

It definitely looks like it was made for the car so i dont think its universal.....there were kits available from a company called RGA (or similar) if my memory serves me well. There was also a different version of the dealer approved Sport kit.....and the manufacturer was selling to the open market as well as just to UK Skoda dealers. The Sport models (and cabrios) are very sought after in CZ because they were UK only models organised after import by the dealer network.

PM on its way to you. :)

If you want a genuine kit or one of the boot spoilers then Skudman (on the Skoda owners forum) has both for sale....or at least he did do a couple of weeks back. I suspect you probably have your hands full with what you've got already! (although I tend to try and do everything at once to save work later).

You`re right there Hawke.....need to get it held together and on the road before I start adding to the list!.......I have a strange rubber spoiler but it looks a little pants to be honest so prob leave well alone.....nver been too sure on the bird bath ones.......must not get sidetracked!

  • 4 weeks later...

Back in the day there was a company called "Fiberfab" that made black rear screen louvres for almost anything except convertables (yes, even some estates). If it's one of their's the badge may have gone (r never been fitted), but there should be a flat about 2 inches long and twice the depth of the rest of the edge of one of the louvres, on the RHS,

Can you post a larger shot of the rear? This looks like it may have been the standard spoiler for an Estelle 120 LSE.
