But should be getting her back at 5pm :)

She is in getting the traditional seat bolster fix applied. It had went in before for the standard fix they normally apply but the damage was worse than they thought and required a new side airbag ordering. The refit was a bit hodgepodge and didn't look quite right but obviously a temporary measure until the part arrived. Hopefully this time the seat will look and feel like the passenger side does.

First ever car I've had with warranty and quite a nice feeling to know you can get these things fixed!

Ok, so I got the car back yesterday - repair looked good and felt better to sit in the seat. Got home and noticed:

  • A couple of small scuffs on the door leather that I know were not there before
  • The leather on the seat has not been refitted correctly and the foam at the bottom is hanging out.

Understandably I'm a tad annoyed and will be taking it back AGAIN for the work to be finished properly. Harumph :(

Anyone else had issues with the seat bolster repair?

What bolster issue? any pics of it before the repair?

This is how it is after the repair. Have not had chance today to phone the garage but will be doing that tomorrow. The leather should go down to the plastic part but as you can see the foam is all exposed.

That's not good, good luck with getting it sorted.

Push for something in compensation for having to take it back numerous times, some fuel would be a nice place to start.

I don't know why they did not just give you a new seat in the 1st place .And it seems like they damaged your door card .Did you take a before pic of that too. Fire off an email to the owner or md of your dealership .issues for me were resolved that way .Good luck

Did not take any before pics as I trusted them to do a quality repair. Rest assured from now on ill take pics of the whole area prior to work.
