Digital readouts on dash'

Featured Replies

Some time ago my readout on the dash was playing up, going into pixel missing mode on the figures, but it solved itself! Now it's at it again! Question: Could it have anything to do with rain water somehow getting into the electrics, I guess there must be a socket/plug from the gearbox to the dash? Or, could it be the cold weather? Maybe the battery is on it's last legs and delivering a poor voltage that's exacerbated by the cold? As you've guessed I having a clue! Any thoughts ?

Also, what's the best retro fit rear parking sensor or video?

I use a wheelchair and because of this my rear bumper is scratched to heck by my heaving the 'chair out of the boot, which by the way one of only a handful of boot areas that I can fit my 'chair into as it's a one-piece carbon fibre jobby. Any ideas of a suitable sticky thing that I can put on the bumper without it looking daft? or maybe daft is good? There's no point filling the scratches, painting etc as it does happen whatever I do, so some funny/practical sticky thing that I can put on would be an answer to my dreams.

Denis.

Denkirk, i do a fair amount of out doors stuff and the bumper on my 07 plate was also getting scratched. I have cut and shaped a large piece of old cushion floor covering to fit over the bumper. The covering is pushed under the rubber boot lip seal and to date hasn't come adrift. I tend not to leave it on all the time, only when it is needed. There has been some pretty rough stuff when getting the bike over and into the boot, so far no damage; cheap too!
