Just been for a test drive in a VRS.

And a deal was struck, and a deposit went down. Nice lil red number with full leather interior. Should hopefully get it on Wed if all goes well.

Excited isn't even how I'd desribe it, such a vast improvement over an 8year old Octavia classic TDi :p.

Bit of a pointless post, but yes, excited :D.

nice! when ever I see a red one it always makes me think "damn I wish I got that colour". Is the leather oem do you know?

I just assumed so, but possibly not, not really seen any non SE leather. Got some the Logo stitched into front and rears with some pretty green stitching. Pics will ofc follow when I collect.

Oe is red piping I beloved on sides and back of front seats

Ive just been for a test drive in my first vRS tdi... It was a good little pocket rocket. I was doing nearly 90mph and did not even realise it. I did not drive it that well as I drive a focus ST..

Im still undecided. The car looks good, But the inside just aint doing it.... Cant help in thinking of taking an astra CDTi 150bhp out again

Aye, it has the red piping, but the actual stitches are green. Got a terrible picture on my phone that shows more reflection than interior, doh!

@apriliamgt: Interior isn't the vrs's strongpoint IMO, but when I tried this one, I couldn't say no.

@Briskodian if you got at a good price then all is good. there is nothing wrong with it as such.... I just dunno? Its where im going to be all the time

I know what you mean, it's a bit drab. In my Octy I have some of the interior trim pieces wrapped with 3M carbon wrap, broke it up a bit, quite a common mod on here.

Think on the vrs I'll either try some black or red rattle can skoda colours on the interior bits. Seen it done on here and brightens it up loads IMO, but red may be overkill haha.

In my ST i feel like im in a little bubble... In the vRS i feel there is nothing around me... reminds me of my saxo days

That sounds really nice always wish ours had leather maybe have to buy that next :)

looks like I'll be seeing a red one like mine in livingston finally!

If that was a premature predictive text moment, we understand...

The red leather interio in my vRS was what sealed the deal for me.

Having previously owned an Octy vRS I knew all about white interior parts, so the fact that this one had it replaced played a big part in my decision.

Now I happily drive about in my own little tart's boudoir :D

Don't you just hate not checking before you hit post

I'll keep my eye out for ye when I'm over in Livi, usually in and around Bathgate/Edinburgh mostly though :p.

The leather swayed me as well. Turns out it's heated as well, which the ad never said. Not sure bout the red leather though, mine's full black with a wee red strip up the sides, like the SEs blue bit, and green stitches. Found out it was Skoda re trim, advertised somewhere ( lost the official link) as a £1300 extra when new, no complaints here then :L. Cruise control also wasn't listed but is on the car.

Been a bit busy lately with flat hunting and a report for uni, but will try get some pics once I get the weather to give it a good clean.

I'm probably doing my interior a disservice - it's more of an Oxblood colour than bright red :D

Sounds quite well spec'd then
