How clean?

Featured Replies

So, how many people clean in the inside of the alloys on their vRS?

I haven't done it yet but think I should, it just seems like a real faff to take off the wheels when cleaning it, especially when it gets dirty again soooo quick! Don't get me wrong I like to keep a clean car, so clean it (or get it cleaned) every week, but if I'm taking the wheels off then it turns into a mission and a half. Anyone got any methods of doing this without taking off the wheels, like a good wheel brush or something?

Pretty pointless thread I know, just curious if anyone does this, and how often?

First thing i did with my Superb when i bought it new and will do the same with my Fabia when I collect it , a decent clean and protection will pay dividends in the effort required to clean them in future , i also do this every year to my Evo , wheels off , good clean and sealant

what sealant do you use?

gtechnic wheel armour is amazing.

You can get fairly thin wheel brushes which fit inside the wheel spokes, or just turn the wheels on full lock and try from that.

I remove my wheels once a year but spray with cartec acid free cleaner every wash leave on until I wash car and rinse off no hard graft muck just falls of

I always clean them with wheel brush on every wash, recently I've applied nano coating, only PW is enough

Pics from the application (link below) ;) First job was cleaning, decontamination, detarring, brake dust removal and IPA cleaning etc, then a professional product application which is sold in bulk volume, not for retail (similar product to Gtechniq C5)

Clean the inside everytime, also the backside of the spokes. With TD Prorace3 it´s easy, plenty of room.
