Amundsen + (with DAB)

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the latest Amundsen + (with DAB) as fitted to Yeti Urban, has a SD slot, and if so can it be used for storing/playing music files?

Hi - yep - I've got the urban TDI - Amundsen + with DAB - sd card slot - and yes - I've created playlists on the SD card - works a treat. Can also stream Bluetooth music from my iPhone / iPad

Many thanks. Could not find instruction booklet. Now found it and can see the slot - I must be blind. No i-phone I'm afraid so will have to stick with "old" technology (new for me though)

You should be able to stream music from almost any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, including Android and Windows Phone :)

Just waiting on delivery of my Urban (was meant to be monday but... grrr!) and I was wondering if you could answer a quick question for me.

I've got a 16GB SDHC card with a lot of music on it organised under Artist / Album / Song i.e. In the top level, I've got a Pink Floyd folder which contains a bunch of folders for their albums which contain the songs for the album. Can the Amundsen+ cope with sub-folders within folders?

Tried a Smart Phone - not for me I'm afraid. Sticking with my trusted Nokia flip - much to the annoyance of my 2 grown up children. "If it ain't broke don't fix it"

I'm guessing your Nokia flip runs Symbian, which sadly isn't quite up to date with Bluetooth standards :(

Not sure if it's the latest Bluetooth version - but works fine with the Yeti bluetooth hands free though.

And to answer my own question, it works. Had a fun trip listening to a few have albums on the run. My only complaint (and it's common with many mp3 players) is the short stutter between songs on albums like 'The Wall' where one tune should blend into the next.
