Trillian still has severe bugs in it which annoy the hell out of me

What bugs? I've used Trillian for a couple of years and never had a problem - I even paid real money for it :D

Tracks Eraser Pro has a plug-in for the removal of Lop.com/exe.

TEP can be downloaded and trialed from http://www.acesoft.net/.

I can recommend it for a cleaner pc.

Hi Rob

Just an extra thought. Have you created a "Boot Disk" as a safety precaution? This will allow a computer to boot from that floppy if a really "nasty" blows the capability to boot from the hard-drive. It won't eliminate any problems, it just means that one can get into the computer to try to sort it out :)

Hi,

Thanks for all the help. Went onto Short-Media forums (and after begin asked if wanted to join their F@H team!!) Someone on there called Chris was very helpful and told me waht to run, what to delete and now i am searchbar free!!:D

Lorna

The easy way to get rid of LOP (as I discovered after much Googling) is to uninstall MSN Plus pack. This removes it ;) MSN Plus can then be re-installed without the spyware (just click no when it asks you if you want to install the optional software to support MSN plus future development) and it will be installed spyware free :D

Chris

I think Lorna had already removed that some time ago but it didn't remove LOP at the same time, neither was there an uninstall for LOP in Control Panel - we checked.
