trip computer

Featured Replies

Ok so ive done a quick search to no joy...

I have a 2010 1.2 fabia 1 and it has the lame trip computer, just wondering if you can get it changed to one of the better ones that shows mpg and outside temperature...

Thanks

You can retro fit Maxidot but I'm unsure whether the other sensors are fitted on the Version you have... Best to wait for one of the techies ;)

You can retrofit a maxidot dash and it will all function fine but you will need to recalibrate your keys to function with the new dash (immobilizer and all that)

Im not to fused about the maxi dot,

Id just like to see mpg and outside temperature...

If it doesn't show MPG and temp, then you don't even have the trip computer, just an odometer surely?

Possibly, so what will I need to do then?

I bought a speedo for my cycle from argos that shows outside air temperature for 20 quid. Stick one of those on your wing mirror and download the fuelly app. Job done, :giggle:

Take it to a main dealer -i'm sure they'll be happy to part-exchange your Fabia for a better one which displays mpg etc...... Lol ;-)

For the outside temp and even inside temp.

Fridge Thermometer amazon

£2.99 each delivery free.

Much Cheapness....

Nice and compact, comes with the batteries.

Thin wire which can be feed to the wing mirror, out to engine compartment etc.

Handy to use inside the car to check there as well.

EDIT

The one showing just now is £2.55

digital thermometer with lcd display, accenter (electronics)

I have Maxidot on my car and I think is useless. You have a few options there but not to many. So you can't do to many things with that. VCDS is the best!
