Featured Replies

Hi

I have a skoda octavia 2004.

bought it around christmas. changed oil and oilfilter.

the oil lamp has gone on and off with 2 months in between until now.

but the oil level is nice.

here the other day the check engine lamp came on. i read out the error messages. i suspect the lambda sond.

here are the error codes. i hope u can help me find out what is wrong:

I read out the error messages from the car, and they are as following:

17925 - Power Supply Relay for ECU (J271 or J363)

P1517 - 35-10 - Electrical Malfunction - Intermittent

16523 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S2

P0139 - 35-10 - Response too Slow - Intermittent

16554 - Fuel Trim; Bank 1

P0170 - 35-10 - Malfunction - Intermittent

16554 - Fuel Trim; Bank 1

P0170 - 35-10 - Malfunction - Intermittent

16514 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1

P0130 - 35-00 - Malfunction in Circuit

Best regards

Skoda owner in norway.

This is simple, check the ECU,the power to ECU is not right so is generating faults to other components.

The lambda is fine....forget about it.

So check the ECU ,and especially the connections, they tend sometimes to get corroded.

Take off the wipers, the plastic covers, get to the ECU ,take off the 2 big connectors and chack for corrosion, cheek the pins...there is your problem!

I found it, but havnt had the time to do it yet. but the error has not come back. i have driven some short trips around. so i hope that it means its was not a dangerous fault :p but it still has to be looked at sooner rather then later
