Apologies if this is a stupid question, but why would you need to change the Fabia MAF? I read somewhere on here that Ross Clarke put a Mercedez MAF onto his car :confused:, are there any performance gains to be had by doing this? If not why bother, however if there are performance gains to be had would the car need to go back on the RR to get the best figures?

Don't bother! Ross had trouble with his MAF. Its not a performance gain thing AFAIK, but simply stronger so that a tuned car won't as easily break it.

My current MAF has been coping OK with my tuned engine.

The Merc MAF was a cheap solution to replacing a broken VW/SEAT/Skoda one. It just happened to be the same design & fitted OK.
