Bluetooth - After market options

Featured Replies

Hello,

Firstly excuse my ignorance in this area & I'm kicking myself for not adding this option when I bought the car but hey ho here I am.

My quandry is do I go for a Parrot option or my prefered choice (I think) is the aftermarket plug & play option - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-SKODA-SEAT-ORIGINAL-MFD-3-RCD-RNS-510-OEM-ORIGINAL-BLUETOOTH-KIT-7P6-5K0-/271015844153?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item3f19cd9939

Is there a how to guide for either device on this or other sites or can anyone offer me some much needed advise.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Mark

I have a Parrot MKI 9100 and it's fine -it supports audio streaming so I can stream music via Bluetooth, it also has plugs for USB flash drives, iPods and a 3.5mm jack. They're cheap and easy to fit. but you will have plastic controllers and displays stuck on your car

Depending on what bits you have on your car already -you might need additional bits to get a VW Bluetooth unit to work on your car and you'll probably need to get coding done. There is also the rSAP issue with some of the newer Android phones and VW Bluetooth systems. The VW system is much more integrated and tidier, but potentially a lot more expensive.
