I've had my Octavia VRS for a few months now and apart from a few mistakes from the dealer who supplied it and an outstanding warranty issue, the car is awesome.

One query though.

My car is fitted with a slot-in CD player in the dash, an iPod cable in a little compartment to the right of the dash, and a 6 CD changer in the boot.

The iPod connection works, and so does the CD player in dash. But the CD changer doesn't - even if I eject CD's out of the dash and disconnect the iPod. Is there some knack to make it work or has it been disconnected at some point to run the iPod cable? The CD changer seems to be powered and indeed I can load it up with CD's... but even if I fully stack it I can't select any of them or play them from the head unit.

Any advice? Is this something I can investigate myself or will be another trip to the dealer?

i thought the cd changer and the ipod plug into the same bit on the back of the stereo,you can only have one or the other me thinks

Believe that is right that someone has used the iPod plug in to the cd changer port so you only have one or the other working. There are other ways you can have both working with kits from eBay or more expensive ones off the Internet.

That makes perfect sense and is, to be honest, what I was expecting... hmm... I guess the iPod is more useful than the CD changer so I'll keep it plugged in for now!
