I'm trying to decode my accessories from Denis's post, but there are quite a few missing.

Also mine lists 8QK ...main key with lighting

However mine is the folding with the remote lock buttons.

Any more?

I was unable to decode 6 option codes for my car as these are not listed in the decode list in ETKA 6.2, ie:

3GA

6Y0

7A2

8L3

1NL

H6U

One option code listed for my car was wrong - ie 3NC which is folding rear seat and backrest not with head restraint. Mine has 3 head restraints fitted. Also I am unable to decode the wheel type fitted to my car since there is no code as listed in ETKA 6, although there was in ETKA 5.

The list is incomplete since I have missed C**, E** and F**. I will sort that out tomorrow. In the meantime, otheos, the 2 missing codes I can help with are:

E0A.....vehicle version: standard

F0A.....basic version

The decode list has now been updated and named correctly. Any missing codes are probably for extended options - which I regrettably cannot decode.

Does having a vRS with 4X4 bring a noticeable improvement to the car?

This is a follow up to a previous question I posed recently. I had a 2008 vRS for over 12 years and really loved it before moving on to something different. Looking to getting back into vRS ownership again and toying with the idea of finding one with the 4x4 drive train. If anyone has been able to compare the two, is there a noticeable improvement in road handling with this variant? Thanks

History is that since the coilovers were done, the front-left top mount has aways creaked on turning; classic top mount sound of juddering movement. I've tried rotating the spring a little in case that's a difference but I need to do try some more just to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. In the meantime, the front right has developed a creak which is different. It's a heavier creaky rubber feel to it which is triggered on minor movement/weight shift. Going over speedbumps obviously makes

I have a 2014 diesel octavia estate 1.6 blk edition. Lately, and since service my mpg is alot lower than normal. I understand my car is old but recently ive noticed im using more fuel. Ive asked my usual mechanic and hes replied with the expected answer i thought hed suggest which is weather, tyres, speed, fuel prices and that mpg is never ro be trusted. Im not taking fuel prices into consideration as im seeing my fuel being used up more. Mpg today has been 34,on a route i normally use and get

Hi all, Recently picked up a 2017 1.0 TSI. Every time I start the car there’s a noticeable ticking/rattling noise that lasts around 45 seconds then stops completely. Happens on every start, not just cold. Car runs perfectly once warm with no issues at all. Has anyone experienced this on the 1.0 TSI EA211 engine? I’ve read it could be the Turbo actuator rod linkage? Car was serviced by Skoda main dealer a month ago. Any experience or advice appreciated. Video link of said noise: https://y
