Deisel dump valve on a fabia Vrs

Featured Replies

Hi peeps I've recently purchased a dump valve kit to fit my fabia Vrs but I have one or two issues, I need to find the throttle sensor wire in the engine bay, so I can connect the solinoid switch but I need a wiring diagram! Any ideas where to find this wire of has anyone else had the same problem?

Many thanks

there was one on my fab when i bought it, the wire is down the back of the right hand side of the engine bay i will have a look and take a picture of it after.. i took mine off because it kept throwing the engine management light on and it sounded stupid...

That would be great thanks, I'm hoping it sounds ok lol but il see! :-)

Considering buyin one of these... or might just go for the option of straight through exhaust so it makes the owl/whoosh noise ;)

Do they not just create a boost leak? Hence the EML light?

They do nothing for the car at all. They were designed for turbocharged petrol cars, to prevent turbo stall.

A diesel doesnt have a throttle butterfly, and hence, a dump valve is a waste of time, effort and money.

And makes you sound like a chav...

So does anyone now where to find the throttle sensor wire in the engine bay? I've found the wire above the pedal under the dash but cannot follow it in to the bay so any ideas?

I've heard it all now - a DV on a diesel :D
