looking in my service record the other day my service code on the sticker with all the codes is QI6,

according to the information in the service record

QI1-4 = fixed service interval

QI6 = variable service

just checked the new monte in the family and that has QI6 as well

dealers are mystyfied as they say variable service not available on fabias that they are aware of but i have to go back to dealers later in week for it to be checked / confirmed and will also ask about the monte as well

any one else noticed this??

My dealer told me my new vrs is on variable servicing but as I understand it they only found out recently perhaps all dealers aren't aware as yet

been into beadles today, spoke to service department showed them book and codes

service guy went to speak to "master tech", came back and said the QI6 code ment it could be set up for either fixed or variable,asked if i had the car with me

i said yep, they wanted to stick it on the computer and see what it was set to, they confirmed it was time and distance and asked if i wanted it on variable, said yes

two minutes later keys were back job done
