Is there anything that I should look out for in particular.

As itll be my first skoda I wanted to know what to look for.

It's a dsg 170 diesel and has done 58k.

Thansk for any help or guidance.

Cheers

DSG oil change at 40k.

make sure the Columbus radio sat- nav is working okay. when you switch it on it should be up and running in 20-30 seconds or less if it takes longer there is something wrong with the unit these cost £1600 to replace unless the dealer will give you a warranty on the unit.these units run the parking sensors the heating and all number of things thats why you need to make sure its working okay

Another quick one. Does 11750 seem fairly cheap for a elegance with everything on it and only 58k on the clock? Others seems to be priced much higher.

Hello again

I've semi-purchased a 59 plate elegance DSG 170 twindoor with 57k on the clock from arnold clark in glasgow.

Hoping to pick the car up next Tuesday.

Once again, can anyone tell me the tell tale signs to look out for.

It has sunroof and i've read on here that they can leak - and that oil change service for DSG at 40k.

Its had main dealer service and one owner from new.

Just becuase i've never owner a skoda before and haven't actually seen the car in flesh i'm worried that i'm going a long way about 300 miles to look at a car that might be no good.

The columbus unit i need to make sure works also so i've been informed, but besides that, can anyone please tell me the main things to watch out for.

Thanks again

Lee

They do not "run" anything else than radio/navigation. The heater and so on is shown on the screen, yes, but will work great without it. I don´t know where you find prices like that, but I can sell you a new Columbus for less than £1600 :)

i was talking about like for like ie a new Columbus.if you are buying a second hand car the last thing you want is to have to spend between £500 - £2000 on a replacing sat-nav unit when you have just spent thousands of pounds on the car.untill you have owned one you would not know what a complete load of rubbish the Columbus is.my car is two years old and its on its 3rd unit god help me when the warranty runs out
