Vrs aircon help please

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm having problems with my aircon and need some advice on where to start looking, I've done some searches but can't find anything that fits perfectly to my problem.

I bought the car with it needing to be gassed, got it done and it worked fine for about a month. It then started to loose a bit of cooling power and then work one minute and not the next until it eventually stopped working again. I presumed it had lost all its gas.

About 6 months later after doing my clutch I decided to investigate. I did a Vagcom scan and cleared a code relating to display or something like that (sorry can't remember exactly) and it started working again..............but not for long. It worked for about a day and now nothing but also no fault codes.

It seems to have gas (about 5 to 6 bar), the light on the dash is coming on when pressed and the center nut is spinning on the pump.

Anybody have any ideas?? and is there anything I can check on Vagcom to point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance

Stuart

Mines got a busted radiator. Just never got round to replacing it yet

The nut in the middle will always be spinning, it's not got a clutch.

Also pressure doesn't mean there is gas or enough gas in the system

Need to get it diagnosed really, paying someone who knows there onions shouldn't be to expensive.
