  • Me 2 mick, sound was really tinny in c1, presume the same in citigo, hope someone replies who has the citigo already , with and without extra speakers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

  • Great stuff, glad its coming together. Have fun and enjoy it. george

  • Tell them you'll do the PR stuff if they'll give you three years free servicing. Seriously.

No, having checked my bid wasn't registered as the £9,444-odd was over mine and I was a second too slow so that went in first.

If it had gone for £9,250 I'd have bought it, but for someone who didn't already have one ordered it did look good value.

You could have just taken the graphics off after all.

.

Congratulations.

As I said, I think that was a wise buy.

It's the 75bhp Elegance. You can't get that without start stop according to the brochure.

The only thing it was was missing is the Sunroof I think.

The roof is all black, so I thought it had been wrapped. I couldn't see sunroof listed under the options.

With the sunroof only the front half is black.

Would like to see some better pictures when you get it though.

The advertisement shows more wacky graphics and white wheels on the front with grey on the back. But the actual picture of it on the stand shows more subtle (better) graphics and white wheels all round.

Agreed.

Get some pics up once you have it. Seems like a cracking buy even without the extra sound system etc.

It looks pretty funky anyway but yeh you should be able to remove the graphics... just do it carefully! Use a hairdryer to soften them up or you will strip the paint/lacquer.

Will be interesting to see if it does have the start/stop. If going by the brochure it shoud do.

Interesting.

Did you notice the warranty was only listed as two years on the ebay listing too?

I guessed that was an error and may be a European thing. Which could explain the lack of info on the stop-start.

But chances are it's UK spec with everything you want and a three year warranty in reality (from date of registration). :)

Yeh she probably doesn't have a clue about the car and can only tell you as much as she has printed out on the piece of paper in front of her.

Any indication on how soon they can deliver it to your nearest skoda dealer to pick up?

oh my god..... i'm just a little bit more happy to know i've got a bargain now!

according to the below link, it says it has a panoramic sunroof and wait for it...... leather heated seats!

Hope both are true! got a feeling some one is going to scrape keys down both sides!

If they'd put the proper spec on there I'd have bid for it.

Of course, so would a lot of people and it would have fetched more.

It definitely sounds like a bargain you have there!

.

It wasnt exactly a full spec listing was it

No, they really shot themselves in the foot there.

Out of interest, how are they getting you to pay for it?

I assume they don't want it going by paypal!

.

That's trickier.

For a lot of cars, modified ones can actually be worth less than standard but where it's a manufacturer special that's not necessarily the case - the Mk1 Octavia WRC is an example of ones that did well.

Also not trying to worry you, but I wonder what insurance companies are going to make of this. If you'd bought a standard car and added alloys, stickers and a huge stereo they'd definitely charge more, but as it was supplied like this.....

Who knows.

Thinking about the insurance, I bet it's listed as an Elegance so just insure it as one with various factory fit options.

.

Congrats on the purchase. You wouldn't want stop start anyway it's a PITA.

.

Congratulations Monkeykler! :D

.

when i insure with direct line is just asks me for the registration number, wouldnt' all modification etc be listed when registered?

You'll need to declare ALL non-conformancies from the standard spec for the Elegance just to be safe - alloys in particular as this is an instant no-quote for some insurance companies.

.

Surely it will show up as a proper model. That's normally what happens with special editions.

My olf felicia for example. It was the L&K and showed up as an L&K when doing insurance quotes etc with all the extra spec already included under the L&K trim level.
